Instruction:
One of my primary roles is making sure that all students at Stearns and Williams Elementary Schools are receiving differentiated instruction that best meets their needs. This includes not only ensuring that the accommodations and modifications listed in my students' IEPs are being followed, but also that other students within the general education classrooms are not falling behind. One day a week at each school I perform observations in classrooms, then meet with teachers to discuss my observations. If I notice students who are struggling, I make sure to bring them up at our school's Student Support Team (SST) that meets weekly and discuss an intervention plan for that student.
